Howard Fire Company will have a chicken barbecue tomorrow, Sept. 19, at the fire station. The chicken should be ready by 11 a.m., and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. A meal of ¢ chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad and a roll will be $10.
Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will host The Craguns in a free concert on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. The concert will be held outside the church, weather permitting. Those attending should bring lawn chairs and practice social distancing.
Howard Area Lions will have their Food Bank distribution on Sept. 21 for residents in the Beech Creek area and those residents of Centre County who missed their distribution earlier this month. Food Bank hours are from noon to 3 p.m. at the former Beech Creek Elementary School. Please bring your empty boxes.
Beech Creek-Blanchard Senior Cheer Club will meet on Oct. 1, at noon, at the Friendship Community Center. Those 60 years of age and over are invited to join for fun and fellowship. Please bring a covered dish to share for the lunch meal and a wrapped gift for the Bingo game. The club will be electing officers for 2021 at this meeting.
