JS Lions Club names Citizen of the Month
JERSEY SHORE — Robert Lee Parker, son of Fawn and Dan Stevenson of Jersey Shore, has been named the Jersey Shore Lions’ Club Citizen of the Month for September.
Roberts’s activities include Student Ambassador Club, Barbershop Men’s Choir, two years; Young Democrats Club, FBLA, Model U.N., Constitutional Convention, four years.
Robert has served as the president of the Class of 2021 during his ninth grade year, president and vice-president of the Class of 2021 during his 10th grade year, was the sophomore vice president of FBLA, the Region 7 treasurer of FBLA throughout his sophomore and junior years, chapter treasurer of FBLA during his 11th grade year, and serves as the Region 7 secretary of FBLA from his junior and senior years.
He has also been the secretary of the Student Ambassador Club during his 10th grade year, and president of both Model U.N. and Constitutional Convention during his 11th grade year. Robert is also the student school board representative in which he served during both his junior and senior years.
Outside of school, Robert is a summer detasseler at TA seeds and has worked as a dishwasher at Santino’s Pine Creek Inn. He is currently employed at McDonalds and is a PowerPoint technician at the Avis United Methodist Church. In addition, Robert partakes in fencing at the Williamsport YMCA.
Robert was selected as the Lioness Club freshman student of the month, placed seventh at FBLA states in Accounting I, placed fifth at FBLA states in Accounting II, and has received the Big 33 Community Service Award for FBLA. He is also a Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week graduate.
Robert enjoys going to the movies, playing board games, and reading both works of fiction and non-fiction. He plans to attend Penn College to major in Accounting.
