Thanksgiving Dinner on


Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will offer the traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, Nov. 21, with pickup between 5 and 6:30 p.m. The meal of turkey and trimmings is free to all community members. If you can, please bring a box of cereal for the Food Pantry. To place an order, please phone or text 814-625-2182.

Thanksgiving dinner canceled

The appreciation Thanksiving dinner schedule for Saturday at the McElhattan United Methodist Church has been canceled.

Country Music Jam canceled

The Country Music Jam at Howard Yearick Center in Howard is canceled for November.



December 5

Santa’s Workshop: “Drive Thru Village” will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Central Mountain Middle School. Families are requested to stay in their vehicles and enter from either Peale Avenue or BEN Avenue. The free event is open for children ages 12 and under and includes craft and activity kits, books, milk and cookies, letters to Santa and Mrs. Claus.

If not, you’ve got to take a walk and see the new stores and a bakery that have opened up in recent weeks. And there’s another one opening this weekend. It’s really nice to see the town opening up again… just in time for Christmas.
