Model Railroad cancels open house
COVID concerns have prompted the cancellation of the popular open house events staged each holiday season by the Clinton Central Model Railroad Club at the Castanea Train Station. The first of eight open houses had been slated for next Tuesday, Nov. 24. That date, as well as all others through Jan. 23, have been cancelled. Holiday photos taken at Heisey Museum
The Heisey House Museum and Budget Artist are partnering to provide a photo opportunity for your annual Christmas cards or holiday photos for grandma. The Heisey parlor will be transformed into a Victorian wonderland that makes the perfect backdrop for family Christmas photos. Sittings are 15-minute sessions on Nov. 21 or Dec. 5 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There is a $10 non-refundable deposit at the time you make your appointment and $35 due at the time of your photo session, for a total of $45. You will be able to download 5-10 best digital files from the www.budgetartist.com website. Free Community Thanksgiving take-out meal
Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will be handing out free community Thanksgiving takeout meals on Saturday, Nov. 21. Pickup between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the church. To place your order, please phone or text 814 625-2182. The meal of turkey and trimmings is free to all community members. If you can, please bring a box of cereal for the Food Pantry.
