Free boots and shoes
The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank will give free, new shoes and boots in December to eligible kids and teens. Saturday, Dec. 5 is a day for boots only. Saturday, Dec. 12 is for kids and teens who need both shoes and boots. The Shoe Bank will be open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., by appointment only, inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Kids and teens must have their Medical Access card, CHIP card or similar type of insurance card. New safety procedures are in place, and masks are required. For an appointment on either date, call or text Diahann at 814-571-5324 (Monday-Friday, 7-9 p.m.)
Partnership’s New Road Map Now Available
The Partnership has updated its Clinton County Road Map and copies of the new publication are now available. The full-color map features the county on one side, and a street map of Lock Haven, Flemington, Mill Hall, Castanea and Woodward Township on the other, plus inset maps of several other local communities including Renovo and South Renovo, Loganton, McElhattan and Avis. The map also includes a campus map of Lock Haven University. Copies of the new map are available at the Partnership office at 212 N. Jay St., Lock Haven.
Time to apply for Foundation grants
Local nonprofits interested in seeking grant funding through the Clinton County Community Foundation have until December 15 to submit their application. Visit the Foundation’s website at www.clintoncountyfoundation.org/grants for more information.
