Housing Coalition needs help with Spring Carnival
LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Housing Coalition has secured Riverview Park on May 22, 2021 to host its First-Ever Spring Carnival fundraising event.
This is a new event in lieu of the Daddy-Daughter Dance which was postponed due to the pandemic. We need to plan Anyone interested in helping, contact Jeff Rich via email to email@example.com or telephone to 570-748-9367 by Jan. 22.
An initial meeting via ZOOM is scheduled for Jan. 25 or 28; the time is not yet set.
This fundraising event is critical for the Coalition. By hosting an outdoor event, we can maintain a safe environment and hopefully increase our attendance. Please consider donating a few hours of your time or a few dollars for supplies. We need to secure food-truck vendors, entertainment, and volunteers to create and host family-friendly games and activities.
Despite the pandemic briefly closing our shelters and reducing our capacities to just 50%; in 2020 the Life Center and Merit House provided emergency shelter to 65 households. Those households consisted of 32 children and 74 adults. Households stayed in shelter an average of 42 days. The average adult age was 36; 16 were disabled and four were veterans. Although many households had no income, the average household income was around $8,000 annually. All of these households came from Clinton County.
