The Creekside Inn at Orviston
Yes, even Orviston had a Creek Side Inn. During the towns glory years, the inn offered 23 bedrooms, two fully equipped kitchens, three living rooms and one large dining hall. Visiting Brickyard Company Officials arriving by train, company employees from out of town, as well as workers in the local mines and an occasional visiting railroad official were all regular patrons of the inn. Lodging was available by the day, week, or even on a monthly basis. The rear of the three story building, inset, offered covered balconies on each of the three levels, all of which overlooked the crystal clear waters of Beech Creek, for evening resting and relaxation from the days work.
