Hometown Hero Banner Program
Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. is selling Hometown Hero Banners for the 2021-22 streetlight banner program. The banners can honor a veteran, an emergency responder, or, new this banner round, a front-line health care worker. The banners will be unveiled and introduced during a special ceremony in August and will hang on streetlights in Lock Haven for the next two years. New banners cost $200; reprinted banners are $100; and to hang a previously printed banner is $50. (570)748-1576 / lockhaven.org
Shoes for Shore
Shoes for Shore has reopened to serve underprivileged Jersey Shore area children. For safety purposes, families are asked to wait in the hallway until staff invite them in to be served. The service is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.
Partnership’s New Road Map Now Available
The Partnership has updated its Clinton County Road Map and copies of the new map are now available. The full-color publication features a map of Clinton County on one side, and a street map of Lock Haven, Flemington, Mill Hall, Castanea and Woodward Township on the other, plus inset maps of several other local communities including Renovo and South Renovo, Loganton, McElhattan and Avis. The map also includes a campus map of Lock Haven University. Copies of the new map are available at the Partnership office at 212 North Jay St., Lock Haven.
