Think SPRING

Weather forecasters say we might see 60 degrees this week. Let’s all think spring and hope they are right. And that means we will begin Daylight Savings Time and turn our clocks ahead one hour next Sunday… meaning another hour of daylight. We can’t wait. Winter has lasted way too long this year.

St. Luke’s UCC Soup Sale

St. Luke’s UCC in Flemington will be holding a soup sale on Saturday, March 13, pick up will be from 9 a.m.-noon. Orders may be place by calling the church office at 570-748-5741 and leaving a message. Orders can be placed through March 8. Soup will be $6 a quarts and will include vegetable beef, ham and bean, and chicken corn soup.

Food Distribution

Food distribution will be held at St. Paul’s Food Pantry, at the red brick church on Route 64, will be held March 10 and March 24 at the church on Route 64. Please bring boxes back so they can be used again.

Scouts plan Winter Festival

The Howard Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Troop 353 are planning a FREE Winter Festival on Saturday, March 13th in the Howard Community Park, Howard PA, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.(estimated). Lots of activities, 18 or more vendors, food trucks, games for kids, entertainment- masks and social distancing, of course. There will be a special appearance by the Woodraptor Bobby Gummo, and a raffle for a beautiful bench carved by him, among other raffles. If you have any questions, call Patti Long at 814-625-2182.
