Helping Hands, which operates out of United Lutheran Church, 1 Church St., Lock Haven (just behind the KFC) will re-open from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5. Those taking part in the distribution will need to wear a mask, social distance and follow CDC guidelines. Please bring a photo ID and a birth certificate for any children under 3. Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. and the City of Lock Haven host a city-wide litter pick-up this Saturday, April 24, in celebration of Earth Day. Volunteers will focus on the downtown area as well as city parks and recreation areas. For more information, contact Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. at 570-748-1576.
Laurel Run UMC is holding their annual Yard and Bake sale Friday May 14 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday the 15th from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The sale is located at 2899 Laurel Run Road Beech Creek. If you have any items you would like to donate to the church, please contact Paula at 814-359-3459.
Old School Market has returned to their normal hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays. Other dates to keep in mind are: Old School Market will be joining the Rote Community Yard Sales on April 23 and 24. Market will be normal hours of 9-7 on Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Let’s “Fill the Field” for the weekend! Anyone who wishes to join them is welcome to set up outside in the field.
