MINUTE HAND FALLS OFF CLOCK

April 1, 1950

According to the newspaper accounts Gill Campbell, who kept the court house building in operation, walked into the commissioners’ office with one of the minute hands from the tower clock. Made of wood, about three feet long, it gave up after years of weather beating and fluttered to the ground. Mr. Campbell took the minute hand up to the High School work shop to be repaired.
