Buggy country
We live in a region where it is not unusual to share the road with an Amish buggy. PennDOT encourages drivers to allow a margin of safety and remember that horses are not always predictable. If you come up behind a buggy, slow down, do not honk the horn, and stay back. At a stop sign or light, leave 10 to 12 feet between your vehicle and the buggy.
Before you go
Drivers may log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check on traffic conditions through PennDOT, always a good idea before buckling up.
