In 2002 reconstruction began to restore the bridge for safety and historic reasons. It was re-dedicated in 2003. Beside the covered bridge is the former Logan Mills Grist Mill built in 1840 by Col. Anthony Kleckner and then run by the Ilgen family. It is no longer in operation and is privately owned.
