Lumber and Canal eras of the Susquehanna River

MACKEYVILLE — Van Wagner will be giving a Pennsylvania Heritage Program on the Lumber and Canal eras of the Susquehanna River at the Clinton County Fair on Aug. 5 at 5 p.m. Wagner is known throughout central Pennsylvania as a story teller, song writer, historian, educator and lumberman and is doing his part to keep our heritage alive.

Demonstrating the use of vintage tools while actually building a raft will be part of his presentation.

This program is sponsored by the Clinton County Historical Society with a grant from the Community Foundation. The mission of the Society is to collect, preserve and share the history of the region, especially during 2021 as we celebrate our 100th year of service to the community.
