Bellefonte Borough will hear public comment about Diamond

BELLEFONTE — Bellefonte Borough Council has set meeting dates/times to take public comments on safety improvements to the Diamond area at the intersection of High and Allegheny Streets, downtown Bellefonte. The public comment meetings will be held in Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, Bellefonte Borough building, 236 West Lamb Street, in Bellefonte, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6.

At this time, masks are required in the building at all times.

A short presentation will be given at the beginning of each meeting. Council will be accepting public comments on safety improvement options including the installation of a round-about and the elimination of parking spaces. Comments/suggestions for any safety improvements will be accepted. All comments will be reviewed by council and will be considered prior to any formal decisions being made.

If you can not attend these meetings, comments can be made by sending a letter to the borough’s address or by sending an email to boro@bellefontepa.gov. Two design options will be available for viewing on the borough’s website at Bellefonte.net or in Council Chambers (address above) during normal business hours.
