All 2022 graduating seniors living in Flemington Borough who are planning to continue their education after graduation can apply to win a scholarship being offered by the Flemington Hi-Neighbor Committee. Applications and guidelines are available by calling 570-772-5558; 570-660-7431; 570-748-6694. Leave a message and a return call will be made to arrange delivery of an application and guidelines. Application deadline is May 20. Winning applicants will be notified by May 27.

Ribbon Cutting

Castanea Township Recreation Committee invite the public to a ribbon-cutting for the new Harvey’s Run Park Little Free Library and playground sign on Wednesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Nittany Road pavilion in Castanea. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting, children’s book readings, and free grilled hot dogs. The Recreation Committee and township supervisors are planning some minor cosmetic improvements in the park with the Little Free Library and playground sign being the first on the agenda. The Little Free Library will offer residents and others to be part of the worldwide book-sharing movement. The event is also being sponsored in collaboration with the Castanea Fire Co. Station 3.
