The sun shined bright Thursday afternoon for Downtown Lock Haven, Inc.’s first Farmers Market in the East Main Street parking lot. The market, which will feature a variety of local vendors, will be held each Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. until Oct. 27. Games, such as a ring toss, bean bag toss, patio pong and bowling were provided by DLH member Anna Peddie. Also featured was an iceless curling game, donated by the Clinton County Community Foundation and cornhole. Parents could shop for delicious produce, drinks and other products while the kids enjoyed games and activities. At 5:15 p.m., with help from the Lock Haven Fire Department, DLH gave kids the chance to break open a large pinata full of candy. The pinata was going to be used during DLH’s Seis de Mayo event but, due to the rain, was pushed to the opening of the market.
