UPMC Hospital Auxiliary presents Health Care Awards
LOCK HAVEN — Five Clinton County high school seniors received $1,200 Health Care Awards to begin their college educations in a health care field. The UPMC Lock Haven Hospital Auxiliary and Gift Shop funded the awards.
Those from Bucktail High School who received an award were Emma Poorman and Tristan Probst.
The daughter of Michael and DeAnna Poorman, Emma will be attending Penn State University where she will be enrolled in the Nursing program.
Tristan is the son of Brian and Sandra Probst. He also is enrolled at Penn State where he will be a Pre-Med major.
Students from Central Mountain High School who received awards were Emily Bartlett, Rachel Glossner and Emily Short.
Emily Bartlett is the daughter of Beth and the late Tim Bartlett. She will attend Lock Haven University and major in the Nursing (ASN) program.
The daughter of Brad and Jennifer Glossner, Rachel will major in the Nursing (BSN) program at Lock Haven University.
Emily Short, the daughter of Wayne and Linda Short, will be attending Penn State University where she will be a Chemistry/Pre-Med major.
Members of the Health Care Award Committee are Judy Carpenter, Mary Coploff, treasurer; Sue Counsil, Susan Hanna, Emily Monoski, June Rodabaugh and Co-chairs JoAnn Marcinkavage and Myla Magent.
