Donald Neidig, II, a 2012 graduate of Lock Haven University, will be returning to the Washington Nationals MLB Spring Training next month for the start of his tenth year with the organization. A graduate of the LHU Athletic Training Program, he has received a Washington Nationals World Series ring in 2019 from the World Series and a championship ring in 2012 for the Gulf Coast Rookie League (GCL) in 2013. He was part of player development at GCL 2013, Hagerstown Suns, Low A (2014-17), Potomac Nationals, High A (2018-19) and Wilmington Blue Rocks, high A (2021-22). Neidig also did an internship with the State College Spikes and the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, Fla., during his junior and senior year. He and his wife, Kirsti, and daughter, Emersyn, live in the Lock Haven area. He tentatively has been designated to move to the Harrisburg Senators AA for the 2023 season. His goal in high school was to be involved with professional baseball and he has been able to move up into positions of more responsibility.
