LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Democratic Women held their annual picnic at Riverview Park in Lock Haven on June 28. In addition to a potluck picnic, the CCDW hosted Jill Beck, Democratic judicial candidate for the Superior Court and Keir Bradford-Grey, who is running for PA Attorney General in 2024.

The more than 50 attendees at the event also heard from Angela Harding, candidate for Clinton County commissioner, Mary Ann Clark, school board candidate for Keystone Central School District, and Dianne Gregg, Rural Organizing Director for the PA Dems.

In her talk, Beck emphasized how important it is that judicial candidates have a strong legal background and encouraged everyone to review all candidates for judicial positions at the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s PAVoteSmart.com website (pavotesmart.com/). This site helps voters better understand the functions of the commonwealth’s judges and courts.

Clinton County Democratic Women President Debbie Meder said she was extremely pleased at the turnout and enthusiasm of the membership.

“I’m proud that we have so many strong, independent women of all ages as members of our organization,” said Meder. “And I’m very grateful for the women who came before us and hopeful for the young women who are stepping forward now to make a difference.”
