McELHATTAN — With sunny skies and moderate temperatures, it was a great day for the Real People Helping People races held at the Durty Dabbers Pavilion near Zindel Park in McElhattan on Oct. 12.
The race, held by non-profit Real People Helping People, benefited the Haven Summer Youth Program and Central Mountain High School Cross Country team.
“We have had an impact on more than 100 children the past two summers and we plan on continuing to do so,” information on the event’s runsignup registration noted.
Dozens of individuals turned out to take part in the 10K, 5K and 2.5K option.
Though the 2.5K served as a leisurely, untimed, option both the 10K and 5K saw local residents cross the finish line first.
