LOCK HAVEN — The 2025 Leadership Clinton County Class recently spent the day learning about Clinton County’s rich history and its many resources.

The day began with a fascinating presentation by local historian Rich Wykoff covering the lumbering heritage and development of our region. Following that, Clinton County Historical Society member and historian Bonnie Hannis led the group on a tour of the Heisey Museum and Castanea Railroad Station.

The class also toured the wonderful Clinton Central Model Railroad facility in Castanea with an engaging, behind the scenes look at the facility by member Andrew Ludwig.

During the afternoon, Clinton County Economic Partnership Tourism Director Kira Rosamilia explained the importance, goals and necessity of tourism in our county. She also led the class in an interactive and fun mapping exercise, going over the countless and amazing resources our county has to offer.

Lastly, the class learned the rich history of aviation and specifically the impact and importance of Piper Aviation to our community, followed by an in depth tour of the museum led by Ed Watson.
