Society Meeting

Lake Grabosky, the North Central Regional Science Coordinator of the American Chestnut Foundation (TACF), will present to members of CCGS and the public a presentation titled, “Learn about the History of the American Chestnut; its roots in Astana; and how you can help restore the American Chestnut. The meeting will be on March 11 at 7 p.m. at the Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Free sneakers

Holy Moments series

Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church is continuing their Holy Moments in History series on April 2. Retired history teacher Mike Palischak leads the program. Mike has chosen Martin Luther, a German monk who started the Protestant Reformation, as his topic of historical individuals who influenced our country through their faith. Come learn all about Martin Luther on April 2 at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Palischak is planning one more topic for this spring in the Holy Moments in History series in May on the first Wednesday of the month. Bald Eagle UP Church is located at 111 Main St., Mill Hall, with plenty of free parking to the rear of the church.
