CU Lock Haven Lavender Graduation set for May 7
LOCK HAVEN — The Commonwealth University-Lock Haven Commission on LGBTQ Affairs will host the spring 2025 Lavender Graduation Ceremony and Reception on Wednesday, May 7, at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center, Lock Haven University, with the reception beginning at 6 p.m. and ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be Ashleigh Strange, executive director, Governor Shapiro’s Advisory Commission on LGBTQ Affairs.
According to Dr. Rick Schulze, Chairperson, CU-Lock Haven Commission on LGBTQ Affairs, the event “recognizes and congratulates LGBTQ seniors as well as their allies. We want all students to feel welcomed and affirmed at CU-Lock Haven University.”
Strange serves for Gov. Shapiro by engaging with federal, state and local agencies and institutions to use government programs affecting LGBTQ Pennsylvanians and works to educate the community.
