Benefit Bingos
KBR Bingo and More will be hosting benefit Bingos to help individuals and clubs or organizations in our community. Come play Bingo and help to support those in need.
On Nov. 30, the CU-LH Cheerleaders will be helped by the Bingo.
On Dec. 6, the Bingo benefits the CU-LH Field Hockey Team
Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or by checking the KBR Bingo Facebook page. In addition to the Bingo there is usually a basket raffle, rip tickets and good food!
KBR Bingo is located on the third floor of the Piper Museum Building in Lock Haven. Elevator service is provided!
Winter Clothing Drive
Millheim Fire Company’s Auxiliary is having a Winter Warmth Drive. Donations of new, gently used and clean clothing are sought, especially winter coats, hats, gloves and boots. Donations can be dropped off at the fire station on Dec. 3 and Dec. 10, from 6-8 p.m. The clothing will then be given away, free of charge, on Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., when you can come and select the clothing and boots that you need to stay warm this winter.
House decorating contest
Light Up Wayne Township when you enter the house decorating contest this year. Decorate your home and then send a message to the Wayne Township Recreation Committee’s Facebook page to be judged, or sign up on the sheet at the McElhattan post office. Judging will be done on Sunday, Dec. 14, between 6-8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top homeowners or businesses.
Covenant Cafe to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Claus
The Covenant Cafe, an early stage Alzheimer’s activity group will be hosting Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus for a photo opportunity on Dec. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 West Main Street, Lock Haven. The public is invited to have their photos taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Covenant Cafe. Those interested in having their photos taken are asked to call Fran Decker, Covenant Cafe Coordinator at 570-748-4302 to schedule an appointment.
SVRCS Senior Socials
SVRCS’s Senior Socials have returned for the 2025-2026 school year. All seniors are welcome to join the second Friday of each month from November through April — exception for February. The program runs from 12:30-2 p.m. in the gym lobby at 236 E. Main St., Loganton, where the life skills students will greet you and be your hosts! Activities, games, snacks and entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment! Come out and enjoy this special time to fellowship and interact with students. No reservation required.
