New surgeon at Breast Health Center

Mohammad Tahir, MD, PhD,

WILLIAMSPORT — Mohammad Tahir, MD, PhD, a fellowship trained breast and oncoplastic surgeon, has joined staff at the Breast Health Center at UPMC Susquehanna Divine Providence.

Dr. Tahir earned his medical degree from Khyber Medical College and completed a residency at Khyber University Teaching Hospital, National Health Service, Pakistan. He earned his doctorate in breast cancer research and a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md.

“The years I’ve spent in the practice and research of breast surgery, have taught me not only the variety of advanced skills and techniques that I need in this delicate field, but also the importance of listening and compassion,” says Dr. Tahir. “Every patient’s body – and mind – deserve the utmost in care and thought.”

Dr. Tahir will see patients at the Breast Health Center at UPMC Susquehanna Divine Providence, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport.
