LHU physician assistant students visit Covenant Cafe

It was a win-win situation for both Covenant Cafe participants and Physician Assistant students from Lock Haven University at a recent session of the early stage Alzheimer’s activity group. Erica Berkowitz, a Covenant Cafe volunteer and a student in the Physician Assistant program, organized a mini-health fair that included a healthy lifestyle PowerPoint and blood pressure and blood sugar readings. Students had an opportunity to develop their new skills and Cafe participants received important information about their personal health while enjoying the company of new young friends. Individuals and families who are interested in being involved in the early stage Alzheimer’s activity group are invited to call Fran Decker, MSW, LSW at (570) 748-4302 or (570) 263-2084 or at fdecker@kcnet.org for more information.
