Endocrinology specialist joins UPMC Susquehanna
WILLIAMSPORT — Scott A. Segel, MD, FACE, endocrinologist, has joined the endocrinology team at UPMC Susquehanna.
Dr. Segel received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Mich. He completed his residency in internal medicine at McGaw Complex-Northwestern University Hospitals, Chicago, Ill. and a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Mo. Dr. Segel is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine for endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
“Millions of Americans live with endocrine disorders such as diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, and thyroid disease,” said Dr. Segel. “It is important that I get to know each patient so that we can discuss the best way to individualize their therapy. My goal is to help them to live longer and to optimize their overall health and quality of life.”
Dr. Segel will see patients at Endocrinology at UPMC Susquehanna, 1100 Grampian Blvd., 3rd Floor, Williamsport.
