Annual Paint the Park Pink Night is July 28
STATE COLLEGE — In 2018, the State College Spikes donated more than $3,000 to the Mount Nittany Health Foundation, benefitting the Mount Nittany Health Breast Care Center.
Mount Nittany Health Foundation is proud to again be partnering with the State College Spikes to help raise money for breast cancer awareness and honor survivors and those battling the disease. The annual Paint the Park Pink night will be held on Sunday, July 28, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
Held annually and sponsored by Mount Nittany Health, all proceeds will benefit the Foundation, which supports the advancement of healthcare available to the community. The Foundation will designate all the money it receives from this game to the Mount Nittany Health Breast Care Center. Since 2006, the event has raised $65,000 to support the Mount Nittany Health Breast Care Center.
Spikes players will wear special pink plaid jerseys, which will be up for bid during the game, in support of the fight against breast cancer. This year, fans can bid on the jerseys from the convenience of their mobile device, through the LiveSource mobile app. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a special pink plaid blanket. The first pitch is at 6:05 pm, but the gates will open early for pregame activities.
