Dr. Lorraine L. Rosamilia is Dermatologist of the Year
LOCK HAVEN — Dr. Lorraine L. Rosamilia, employed by Geisinger of State College, has been selected as the 2019 Dermatologist of the Year.
She is the daughter of Bob and Cis Larsen of Lock Haven, and was chosen as president of the Pa. Academy of Dermatology Assn. last year.
Each year, the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (PAD) pays special tribute to a member dermatologist who is a leader and role model in the specialty. Members of the dermatologic community are invited to nominate their peers for this award.
Dr. Rosamilia has served in various roles on the PAD board of directors since 2010, including as president, vice president, secretary, chair of the Scientific Meeting Committee, SLC representative and newsletter editor.
In nominating her, PAD’s President Scott J.M. Lim, DO, said, “I have worked first-hand with her and observed her genuine interests in the PAD via communications and her actions while we have overlapped our time on the Executive Board. Dr. Rosamilia has not only contributed a lot in different areas, but the “weighted” time and effort she has spent and the number of years she has contributed are commendable. Academically, she lectures extensively, nationally and internationally, and she was previously recognized as a young dermatologist of the year award.”
Dr. Rosamilia will receive the award during the PAD annual business meeting Sept. 20 in Hershey.
