Mt. Nittany Health names director of performance excellence
STATE COLLEGE — Matt Golemboski, MSN, RN, has been named director of performance excellence, a role critical to the health system’s vision to provide exceptional patient care, at Mount Nittany Health.
In this role, Golemboski will focus on engaging staff in identifying opportunities for improvement in daily systems and processes and then implementing those improvements using a team-based approach.
“I look forward to working with the 2,800 employees of Mount Nittany Health; listening to their voices and collaborating with them to provide the best possible patience experience,” says Golemboski.
Golemboski earned his bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and his associate degree in nursing from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Walden University. Golemboski first joined Mount Nittany Health in 2011 as an RN in the critical care services department at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
“I’m inspired to do my work because I live in this community and care for the individuals that live beside me,” says Golemboski. “Whether it be in a big or small way, I’m thankful when I’ve had the opportunity to make a positive difference in the life of another.”
Outside of the office, Golemboski enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, being outdoors, and volunteering with Special Olympics swimming.
