Brill joins New Behaviorial Health site in Centre County
STATE COLLEGE– Deerfield Behavioral Health, an affiliate of Journey Health System, welcomes Sandra Brill, CRNP, to their team of mental healthcare providers. Certified Nurse Practitioner Brill will provide psychiatric services for adolescents and adults at their new location in State College.
Brill earned her MS in Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as well as her post-master’s Family Nurse Practitioner designation from UMass in Boston, Massachusetts. She received a BS in Nursing from Elmira College in Elmira, New York where she graduated cum laude. Brill also holds an AS in Nursing from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
In 1978, Brill began as a registered nurse in multiple in-patient settings including OB, In-patient Psychiatry, and Emergency Medicine. Beginning in 1990, she worked in adult Women’s Health and in Diabetes Management as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator. Since 2007, her work has primarily been in Psychiatry both in the community setting and for student health at Penn State University.
Brill’s treatment approach is patient-centered and collaborative to achieve the highest level of health outcomes incorporating healthy lifestyles, psychotherapy and medical/medication management.
Deerfield has additional office locations in Bradford, Erie, Marienville, Tionesta and Warren. Their psychiatrists and nursing professionals serve individuals, social service agencies, skilled nursing facilities, tele-psychiatry partners and other health organizations on a direct or a contracted basis in diverse settings such as medical offices, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital behavioral health units and substance abuse or dual diagnosis treatment centers.
