Paternostro Cancer Foundation donates comfort bags

The Paternostro Cancer Foundation recently donated 50 more Harnessing Hope bags to Susquehanna Health Foundation to benefit patients at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Williamsport. Since 2014, the Paternostro Cancer Foundation has provided 600 Harnessing Hopes bags to support newly diagnosed cancer patients. Each bag comes with items a patient may find helpful during cancer treatment, including snacks, hand cream, mouthwash, and wet wipes. A notebook is included to write down moments of laughter, conversations worth noting, information about medications, and ideas for the future. The bags are intended to provide a little comfort through the uncomfortable parts of the cancer journey.
