LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County United Way and local funeral homes are providing citizens with a new way to contribute to charitable organizations — Continue the legacy of your loved one with a charitable gift to the Community.
“The Clinton County United Way would like to offer families a new option when making arrangements for their loved ones who have passed,” sais Jason Walker, United Way board president. ” Our local United Way is honored to give families the opportunity to donate to the local non-profit, in memory of their loved one.”
The “In Memorium” contribution is a gift that will uplift the community through the United Way 16-partner agency network, according to George Gedon of the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa.
Joshua Welty, UW executive director, said the donation provides residents with the option of continuing the memory of loved ones and making a real impact in our community at the same time.
The contribution would be used to support the United Ways 16-partner agency programs, ultimately benefiting local children, families and seniors.
Contact the Clinton County United Way for more details about their agency network and programs.
“Even if you do not opt to have a service, an ‘In Memorium’ gift can also be made as well, Gedon said. “Families also have the option of sharing about their loved ones life and legacy on our web-site if they so choose.”
“Recognition for doing good, isn’t a bad thing”, Welty said.
