Wayne P. Urbine receives award

JERSEY SHORE – Waye P. Urbine, of Jersey Shore, a licensed Pennsylvania funeral director for 25 years, was honored for dedicated professional service by the Pennyslvania Funeral Directors Association (PFDA).
The award was presented by Deron Youse, PFDA President, at left, at a special recognition event at the 137th Annual PFDA Convection & Expo.
Urbine is a 1991 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Pittsburgh, where he served as President of Class #104 and received the William J. Musmanno Memorial Award in the clinical setting.
Urbine is the owner and operator of the Cremation Society of North Central Pa., 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore and the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton.
He is a member of the Central Pennyslvania Funeral Directors Association and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association.
Organized in 1881, PFDA is the largest funeral state directors association in the nation, and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA). The Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association exists to inform and educate the funeral director, the public and government about the value of funeral service and licensed funeral director on a pre-need, at-need and post-need basis.
Wayne is an overseer with Crossroads Community Church, Antes Fort and his wife Lisa serves as the Secretary for the Board of Overseers.
Wayne and his wife Lisa (Bailey) Urbine reside in Jersey Shore.
