Thanksgiving Day edition goes on sale curbside tonight

The Express community newspaper’s Thanksgiving Day edition full of holiday advertisements and sales inserts will be available for sale this evening in front of the newspaper office in downtown Lock Haven.

The newspaper goes to press early to bring readers value ahead of the traditional Black Friday sales promotions by local, area, regional and national retailers.

This year, The Express’s holiday edition will have MORE sales inserts for you than last year!

Newspapers will be sold from out front of our building next to the U.S. Post Office starting at about 5:15 p.m. until about 7 p.m.

Sales inserts inside most of our newspapers – our home delivery subscribers get precedent – will include Sears, Tractor Supply, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, CVS, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Walmart, AC Moore, Dell, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Dollar General and Weis Markets.

See what expanded or earlier store hours local retailers will have for Thanksgiving, Black Friday and beyond.

Don’t forget Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24. The Express will have limited quantity inserts from CVS, AC Moore, Best Buy, Dell, Dollar General and P&G Brandsaver.

For those who don’t have The Express community newspaper delivered to the privacy and comfort of their home or place of business, keep in mind the retail price in stores and in vending machines will be $1 for the Thanksgiving Day edition.

Meanwhile, The Express office at 9 W. Main St. in downtown Lock Haven will close at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 21, and remain closed for the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thursday, reopening at 8 a.m. Friday. News staff will be available to funeral directors for obituaries on Thanksgiving Day, but only until 6 p.m. by phone at 570-748-6791 (Ext. 139).
