Robert Noerr seeks nomination for House seat

Robert Noerr, of Fryburg, Clarion County, has announced he is seeking the Republican nomination for the District 12 Congressional seat in the May 21 special election.

Noerr, 34, said if he is selected as the Republican nominee in the special election he plans to move into District 12 immediately.

Born in Kittaning, Noerr has lived in rural Pennsylvania all his life.

He is a residential counselor employed by InVision Human Services, a home health care business for people with disabilities.

Noerr is a graduate of Clarion University with a bachelor of arts degree and earned a master’s degree in Speech Communication from Tiffin University.

In college Noerr said he was a policy debater, debating some of the best schools in the nation, including Ivy League schools like Harvard. I was part of the first team ever from Clarion University to qualify for the National Debate Tournament, which is like the NCAA basketball tournament for debate.

He is a member of the Clarion County Republican Committee and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in New Bethlehem.
