Acorn School hops with Easter Bunny for donations
LOCK HAVEN — Boys and girls at the Acorn School raised funds to support their preschool during the Second Annual Hop-a-Thon. The children collected donations and pledges, and then hopped for two minutes with their special guest — the Easter Bunny.
Many of the Little Acorns hopped well over 200 times.
Acorn School received generous donations from Weis Markets and DelGrosso’s Amusement Park for prizes and refreshments for the event. The preschool and pre-K classes are pictured with the Easter Bunny and Acorn’s teaching staff Nikki Ingram and Melissa Bruce.
Acorn students and families showed their own generosity by collecting 75 pounds of food for St. Paul’s Food Pantry in Mill Hall, including soup, crackers, snacks, pie ingredients, fruits, and vegetables. The preschool class is pictured presenting the donations to Betsy Tompkins from the Food Pantry.
Acorn School is the only private preschool in Clinton County that is licensed by the PA Department of Education. Enrollment is now open for students between 3 and 5 years old for the 2019-2020 school year.
