Madison Delaney is Lions Club Citizen of the Month

JERSEY SHORE — The Jersey Shore Lions Club Citizen of the Month for June is Madison Ann Delaney daughter of Brian and Jackie Delaney and Tina Jodun of Avis.

Madison’s activities include Prom Committee, Class Committee, Key Club, Red Cross Club and Student Council for one year; Basketball, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, National English Honor Society and National Business Honor Society for two years; FBLA, tennis and Homecoming Committee, four years.

Madison is an active participant and leader of numerous clubs and organizations within the Jersey Shore High School. She was president of 9th grade FBLA, vice-president of the class of 2019 her junior year, and vice-president of both National Art Honor Society and National Honor Society her senior year. Madison has lettered in tennis and has been recognized as the most valuable and most improved player in basketball and tennis. Additionally, she has received the Certificate for Outstanding School Art award. Her teachers have commended her for her citizenship and leadership by awarding her the VIP lunch award. Finally, she has placings in FBLA regional competitions.

Madison’s ability to take on leadership roles in both academics and sports has made her high school career a success. Outside school, Madison has worked for T.A. Seeds as a corn detassler and is currently a dishwasher at Restless Oaks.

Madison enjoys playing tennis, watching Netflix, and spending time with friends. She plans to attend Penn State University.
