From Staff Reports

BELLEFONTE — It was a perfect Saturday.

Last Saturday, June 1, Bellefonte played host to the 70th annual Children’s Fair, which was held on Curtin and Armor Streets. Hundreds of children and their families attended the event, which featured games, prizes, arts, crafts, food and music. Groups from all over Centre County took part in the event. There were pinewood derby races, a ring toss, cornhole and dice games. There was a bounce house, face painting and a sand craft table.

Every type of food was available, including pizza, pierogies, cheesesteaks, strombolis and hot dogs.

Weather was perfect with low humidity and not a drop of rain in sight. Children munched on popcorn and snow cones as they lined up for games.

The band Sauce, comprised of Bellefonte Area High School students, performed a variety of music to entertain the crowd.

Proceeds from the event will go toward playground equipment in the Bellefonte area.

The Kiwanis Club sponsors the event each and every year.
