Man killed, hit by tree during storm

RENOVO — A Philadelphia man who was camping with friends along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in East Keating Township died Saturday during a thunderstorm.
Elmer Stoltzfus, 40, of Parkesburg, Pa., was at a campsite with multiple friends when a tree to fell on him, state police at Lamar reported.
Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna pronounced Stoltzfus dead at the scene.
The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. Saturday as a storm swept through the area, causing the large tree to fall on Stoltzfus, Hanna said.
