Hospital auxiliary meeting

The monthly meeting of the UPMC Lock Haven Hospital Auxiliary will be held on Monday, August 19. The meeting is in the Senior Activity Room and begins at 1 p.m. All members are welcome.

Centre County water rescue drill

The Centre County Swift Water Rescue Task Force is sponsoring a water rescue drill this Saturday, August 17. The safety briefing will begin at the Howard Fire Company at 9 a.m.

Free Concert in Lemont

The Village Green Concert on Friday, August 16, will feature The Project — George Arnold on drums; Dave Skipper on bass; Lauren Arnold on violin; John Wise on piano and vocals; Tara Arnold, special guest flutist. Classic rock, Elton John, Billy Joel are featured for this concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Bring your own chair or blanket. Rain or shine – in the Granary if it rains. No food truck scheduled so far.

Sugar Valley Community Picnic

Sugar Valley Community Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 17, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Booneville Campgrounds. The Covalt Family, a gospel singing group from Spring Mills, will provide entertainment. A chicken barbecue will be available for supper. All are welcome.
