Residents may try out new voting machines

LOCK HAVEN — Clinton County will host demonstrations of the new voting system over the next several weeks.

Anyone that wants to get acclimated to the new voting experience is welcome to attend.

Announcement was made at the county commissioners Monday work session.

New voting machines are a requirement since Gov. Tom Wolf , who put out a mandate for upgraded equipment last year.

In May, the county purchased 38 new voting machines to be used for the first time in the Nov. 5 election. The machines were purchased from Election Systems and Software, of Omaha, in a $351,481 sales agreement.
