LH man jailed on child porn charges

LOCK HAVEN — A Lock Haven man is jailed on charges of sexual abuse of children in relation to disseminating and possessing child pornography.

Christopher Michael Cundiff, 36, of 139 Youngs Avenue, was arrested by state police at Lamar on Thursday following a search of his home in reference to a child pornography investigation.

The action stemmed from the accused uploading images depicting child pornography onto Tumbir and Facebook, police said.

State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Northeast Computer Crime Unit assisted state police executing the search warrant.

As a result, the accused was charged with numerous counts of sexual abuse of children in relation to disseminating and possessing child pornography along with one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

A preliminary arraignment was held at 5 p.m. Oct. 17 before District Judge Frank P. Mills and Cundiff was remanded to the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 monetary bail.

A preliminary hearing was tentatively scheduled for Oct. 22 at 8:30 a.m. at Clinton County Central Court.

Also assisting in the case were Troop F Polygraph Unit out of Lamar, Lackawanna County Detective’s Office, Luzerne County Detective’s Office, West Hazelton Police Department, Williamsport Bureau of Police, Clinton County Children and Youth Services and Lock Haven Police Department.
