Centre results trickle in

County encounters website issues



BELLEFONTE — Centre County endured problems posting live results to its website on Tuesday night.

As of press time, results were still trickling in with 75 of 91 precincts reporting.

Incumbents Michael Pipe, Steven Dershem and Mark Higgins led the way. Pipe, a Democrat had had the most votes, with 13,414, which was good for 26.69 percent of the vote. Second place was occupied by Steve Dershem, who had 12,543 votes — 24.12 percent. Higgins, a Democrat, had 12,541 votes, also 24.12 percent.

Republican Chris Exarchos, who was trying to get back on the Board of Commissioners, trailed with 10,593 votes, or 20.37 percent.

In the race for Bellefonte School Board, results looked like this: Donna Smith (2,277), Julie Fitzgerald (2,146), Mark Badger (2,065), Max Kroell (1,951), Kimberly Hearn (1,526) and Robert Lumley-Sapanski (1,469).
