Steve Eldred was home at the time of the blaze and called in the alarm. No one was injured in the fire. Firemen used a nearby pond to help extinguish the blaze. Although the home was a total loss, they were able to save nearby structures.

The home was still smoldering as of Friday morning.

The State Police Fire Marshal will investigate the blaze. As of now, the cause of the fire is unknown.

Attempts to reach Montoursville State Police Fire Marshal Nicholas Loffredo or the Mill Hall Fire Department for further information was unsuccessful by press time.

The Eldreds lost everything in the fire. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the couple.
