Major Catherine Louise Frazier, who grew up in Lock Haven and graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1939, is shown being recognized by Major General Loretta Reynolds, a three-star General, on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2017 in Washington D.C. Frazier, who celebrated her 97th birthday on Jan. 15, also graduated from Penn State and was commissioned to the United States Marine Corps at Quantico on Aug. 11, 1943. She was one of the first groups of women Marines and served in three wars — WW II, Korean and Vietnam. Louise, a daughter of Charles and Lulu Pearl Glossner, currently resides in Maryland and is in good health.
