Salvation Army offers senior assistance
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven Salvation Army is offering grocery assistance to the senior population during this period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organization will go out and get groceries/items they need if they are unable or worried about going to stores. They also will be delivering food boxes/senior boxes for those not comfortable coming to get them.
Any senior requiring assistance should call 570-748-2951.
Also the pantry program, including senior boxes, continues to operate on Tuesdays from 8:30 to 11 a.m., but will be distributed from our parking lot.
More than Bread will continue to operate daily. However, all food will be handed out in take- out containers from our canteen truck in the parking lot. The hours will be 11:30 a.m. to noon. This is available for everyone, including parents who are at home with their children.

Free lunch and supper
FLEMINGTON — Flemington Goodwill Hose and Babe Ruth Baseball will be serving free lunch and supper every day from noon to 6 p.m. to anyone in need. Delivery may be an option for those who cannot pick up meal. Call Mike at 570-786-1343 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
JSSD offers free lunches for kids
JERSEY SHORE — The Jersey Shore Area School District will be providing meals for all children ages 18 and younger from now through Friday, March 27 every weekday.
These meals will be distributed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Avis Elementary, Jersey Shore Area Elementary and Salladasburg Elementary. The children must be present to receive the meals.
KCSD offering free meals to children
LOCK HAVEN — The Keystone Central School District is offering free breakfast and lunch for all children of the community at six locations — Central Mountain Middle School, Robb Elementary School, Liberty-Curtin Elementary School, Woodward Elementary School, Renovo Elementary School and Sugar Valley Fire Company. The meals will be distributed by drive-through or walk-up for all children ages 1-18 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on weekdays through March 27.
Centre YMCA offers free food to kids
BELLEFONTE –While schools are closed, the YMCA of Centre County is offering free lunches and evening snacks from noon to 1 p.m. at the Bellefonte, State College and Moshannon Valley YMCA’s.
Free lunches for Porter Twp. kids
LAMAR — Free hot lunch for kids 18 & under within the Porter Township area, 11:30 to 1 p.m. daily until Friday 3/27 (or longer, watch for notices/signs), Porter Twp Community Building, (the old school, Spring Run, Lamar).
New Love Center offers free take-out meals
JERSEY SHORE — The New Love Center Cafe, 1407 Allegheny St, Jersey Shore, is offering take-out meals free of charge to all members of the community. You may come to the Cafe between the hours of 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday using the Glover Street entrance to pick up your hot meal and bagged sandwich style meal.
If you or someone you know cannot get out to pick up a meal, we are also delivering meals five days per week to Jersey Shore, Avis, Woolrich, Salladasburg and small outlying locations. In order to receive this service, you must call Heather at 570-560-5644 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to sign up (24 hours notice is appreciated). There will be limited contact as we will leave meals on your porch or any safe location as able.
Pop-up food pantry distributions
–Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 W. Water St., Lock Haven, is offering a drive-through pop-up food pantry on Thursday, March 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. Please enter the church parking lot by way of the Mill Street entrance. No pre-registration is needed, just bring a form of ID. This will continue every Thursday until further notice.
