Cancellations and Postponements

EVENTS

— The Shoe Bank has canceled its April 18 event.

— The annual Sugar Valley High School Alumni Reunion Banquet scheduled for May 16, has been canceled for this year.

–Catholic Daughters of America Valentines Remembance Mass scheduled for 9:30 a.m. April 16 at St. Agnes Church has been canceled.

— The 35th annual Sentimental Journey to Cub Haven Fly-In scheduled in June has been canceled. The next Fly-In will be held June 22-26, 2021.

— The First Ward Picnic scheduled for June 14 at the Castanea Picnic Grounds has been canceled. The next picnic is already scheduled for June 13, 2021 at the same location. Anyone with questions can contact Ginny Reeder at 570-660-2746.

— The Sentimental Journey Pancake Breakfast scheduled for May 3 has been canceled.

— The following meetings have been canceled for the month of April — The Covenant Cafe, April 21. Contact Person: Fran Decker (570-748-4302) or fdecker@kcnet.org

— The Sugar Valley Lions Club has canceled member dinner meeting on April 13, Senior Citizens Easter Dinner on April 18.

— TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Monday meetings canceled until further notice.

— The Mill Hall Kiwanis Club has postponed their annual Easter Egg Hunt. They will be rescheduling the event to a later date.

— The UPMC Lock Haven Hospital’s IN The Bag Purse sale scheduled for April 17 canceled.

— Camp Cadet program that was to be held at the Lock Haven University Sieg Conference Center in June and the Golf Outing that was to be held on July 18 at the Clinton County Club have been canceled.

— The Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, scheduled for April 24 and 25, has been postponed. No-reschedule date has been announced.

— The Animal Medical Center of Nittany Valley has canceled all elective surgeries, routine examinations, and other simple procedures. The practice will remain open for urgent care Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.to noon. Any patient requiring attention due to illness, pain or trauma may be seen during that time.

–The Centre Furnace Mansion is closed for tours and all programming and on-site volunteer activities until it is safe to resume. The Plant Celebration originally scheduled for May 3 has been cancelled. We will update with any rescheduling plans.

— The Wine in the Wilds wine tasting festival rescheduled from April 25 to July 11, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Visit their brand new website, www.wineinthewilds.com, for details!

— The Hyner View Trail Challenge is rescheduled from April 18 to August 29.

— The two-day Upper Pine Creek Trout Tournament sponsored by the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Snowmobile Club, canceled.

— The Lock Haven Christian Women’s Club, which meets at The Flemington Church of Christ on Fairpoint Road has canceled its April luncheon. The regular schedule for the group will resume when the social distancing restriction is lifted.

— The Southern Clinton County Sportsmen’s Club’s ranges are temporarily closed. Additionally, the clay shoot, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, has been canceled.

— The April meeting of the UPMC Lock Haven Hospital has been canceled. There will be no meetings until further notice.

— The Undine Fire Co. No. 2 May 2 gun/cash drawing event has been postponed. The event will now be held on Saturday, Sept. 5 from noon to 5 p.m. at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte. Tickets are still available. You may contact any member for tickets or you may contact (814) 360-5334 for your tickets.

REUNIONS

— The Class of 1953 “get together” dinners will be postponed indefinitely. Watch The Express for later announcements. Anyone with questions can contact Pat Helbley at 570-748-3489.
