Friday in the ‘Fonte has a lot going on this week

BELLEFONTE — Downtown Bellefonte will again be home to two pop-up outdoor dining spaces, as well as a downtown Sidewalk Sale, on July 31, during the community’s monthly Friday in the ‘Fonte celebration.

Friday in the ‘Fonte, a monthly event which aims to support Bellefonte’s shopping, dining, craft beverage producers and more is held on the last Friday of each month. During July’s celebration, a community-wide Sidewalk Sale is planned, with participating businesses selling their items outside of their shops.

Two outdoor seating areas will be available for outdoor dining. Pick up takeout from your favorite downtown restaurant, and then enjoy it in the fresh air. Tables are distanced, and sanitized after each use. Masks are required when not seated in outdoor dining areas.

The Tasting Room is now open! Stop in to enjoy a summer inspired handcrafted cocktail and delicious food from Nomad Kitchen. Dine safely indoors or outdoors on the patio with views of Talleyrand Park.

Also, BSS is still busy selling spirits, bottled ready-to-drink cocktails, and hand sanitizer to go! Order online and choose curbside pickup, free local delivery, or $5 shipping anywhere in PA. All revenue generated from the sale of hand sanitizer will be donated to the Bellefonte YMCA and The FaithCentre to support their mission to feed those in need in our community.

–Bellefonte Art Museum, currently closed through August,133 N. Allegheny St., bellefontemuseum@gmail.com During Friday in the ‘Fonte, BAM will be handing out cranes at Confer’s Jewelers. You can also pick up a crane at Bellefonte B&B next to the Library!

Just because you can’t visit BAM in person doesn’t mean you can’t immerse yourself in local art. BAM has been providing many virtual opportunities to engage with the museum and their local artists. Currently, BAM has several projects for the community to participate in, such as the Virtual Imagination Celebration Summer Camp and the C19 Photo Project. Welcome to the new kid on the block! Bees Knees Coffee is a coffee trailer owned and operated by Bellefonte local Bromlyn Fitzgerald. At Bees Knees Coffee, they are focused on buying local products for their customers. They use honey from Spring Creek Honey in Bellefonte, milk from Meyer Dairy in Boalsburg, and the coffee is fair trade and organic, locally roasted by Cafe Lemont. Find them on the streets of downtown Bellefonte during Friday in the ‘Fonte.
